Julieta is an Italo-Argentine writer, cook, recipe developer and food stylist with a passion for real, unadulterated and tasty food. 

Her South-American background can be seen a mile away… from her “not from here here, nor from there” accent to her clear love for all South-American food. It wasn’t until her family moved to Spain and then England, that she discovered a whole new world of tastes, smells and traditions. Having lived in Europe for 15 years so far has helped with rediscovering her Italian roots while developing her love and appreciation for Italian culture as a whole.  

Julieta, being the avid collector that she is, has a very “more is more” outlook on kitchenware. This is definitely not the case when it comes to her food and styling. Being able to deliver a recipe beautifully without overdoing the overall look with unnecessary props is at the core of her work. Letting the dish take the centre stage and shine is what Julieta does best.

In 2012, she founded the online magazine Juliet Oscar Yankee which attracts hundreds of readers every week from all around the world. The magazine, which heavily features recipes and food articles, also includes stories on lifestyle, travel and culture.

In 2016 she became a pescatarian (of sorts), and even though she doesn’t normally consume fish and meat products; trying, tasting and discovering new flavours is something she does on a regular basis in order to inspire new recipes and flavour combinations.
